RE:RP vs. Main and Wikia[]

Hey, Sorry for the reply being as late as it is. Normally I am always connected to the wiki but it seems the one time in a week I was when you left the message.

Anyway, I am sorry that you left because of the forums, I myself tend to just ignore them, I don't really RP or work in that area of the wiki so I only got involved if things got out of hand.

The problem is we can only do so much to make an edit not count to certain badges. The way the badges work is when an edit it made the wikia uses the categories, and as far as I understand, we can only take it so far. Theoretically, a editior could get the 365 day badge just by editing his own profile once a day for a year, and we cannot make the wiki (as far as I understand) ignore an edit. I am sure there is a way, the wiki does seem to ignore some of my edits when it comes to the edit count.

But the larger concern was not the edit count itself, if this was about badges we could shut them down. that and at the end of the day, even if you did get a few badges from the forums, those who did main space will always have an edge as we are touching more parts of the wiki.

I am glad you do not blame the staff, They do care about this wiki, and they are doing what they feel is best for it. I do hope we can work this out so as many people as possible are content with the outcome. I will pass you idea to a few admins, see what they know about your idea, at least you are coming up with an idea we can all work with, so thank you for that.

Thanks and happy editing.-Cheatcodechamp (talk) 02:40, September 28, 2014 (UTC)

I would like to point out that the only badges that someone can get from editing only on the forums are the Sai's Affliction and the daily edit counter, you know the one where you get badges for contributing to the wiki every day for a certain amount of time.
