A Purposeful Writ is a quest available in The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind. It takes place in Balmora, in the region of Vvardenfell, and is a main quest of Balmora. The Vestige must help Naryu Virian in a contract whilst finding evidence about Ulran's murder.

Walkthrough[]
Ashur wants you to stay and talk to Veya about the events of the previous quest, as he's not good with words, and Naryu has a writ to complete. Enter the Abandoned Cellar and speak to Veya, who'll ask you to find Naryu at Arenim Manor and talk to her before she completes her writ, as it may have some important information about Ulran. When you speak to Naryu, she tells you that the most sneaky way inside the Manor is through the Docks, which lead inside the Manor, protected by Guards that you can hide from. Once you have entered the courtyard to the Manor, use the crates to jump over the fence and gain access to the Manor. When you are inside, search for evidence and finally confront Councilor Dolvara. After a conversation with her, you find out that Captain Brivan was involved with Ulran's murder, in one way or another. Naryu then assassinates Dolvara, and waits for you to search for more potential evidence in her quarters to prove what she told you about Brivan. You can now return to Veya in Balmora and speak to her. This will allow you to finish the quest.
