A Special Plant is a Temples quest, available during the events of The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall. The Agent, having joined the Temple of Stendarr, is told to obtain a sample of a rare plant, available from an Alchemist in another town.

After joining the Temple of Stendarr, the Agent will have to complete a series of randomly assigned quests on their behalf, in order to gain ranks and associated benefits.

  • Speak with a Missionary from the Temple of Stendarr.
  • Journey to the specified town.
    • Find the alchemist identified by the Missionary and receive the plant.
  • Return to the Missionary before the time limit expires to complete the quest.

The Temple of Stendarr are famed for their ability to heal, achieved through both blessings and potions. However, one of the Temple's healers has run out of a specific ingredient, and has asked the Temple's Missionary to acquire some. The Missionary, in turn, will pass this task onto the Agent, stating that they will be rewarded with a symbol of Stendarr in return for their efforts.

The Potential of PlantsEdit

The Agent must head off to the specified town, before seeking out the alchemist identified by the Missionary. A quick search and the alchemist will be found in their shop, stating when spoken to:

{{Quote:Here's the [plant], [player's first name]. Now hurry back to the Temple. There [sic] many there waiting to be healed.|Alchemist|The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall}}

With the plant in hand, the Agent must return to the Missionary before the time limit expires to complete the quest.

The Missionary will reward the Agent with a common symbol, which may or may not be enchanted, if they return before the time limit expires. The success or failure of the Agent in undertaking the quest will affect their reputation in the Temple:
