Absorb Fatigue is a magical effect and a spell that temporarily transfers Fatigue from an adversary to the caster, increasing the target's weariness and rejuvenating the caster. All Fatigue transferred is returned at the end of the effect's duration. This effect is a member of the Mysticism school of magic, governed by Willpower. Its base Magicka cost is 4 points.
Absorb Fatigue does not raise the caster's Fatigue above its regular maximum. If the caster's Fatigue is full when this effect is active it drains the target. If reflected this effect does not reverse the caster/target roles to benefit the intended target; it both drains and replenishes the caster, causing no net effect.
Absorb Fatigue can knock down an opponent if their Fatigue is reduced to zero, making it particularly useful during hand-to-hand combat. The debilitating benefits of reducing an adversary's Fatigue include lowering their ability to block or dodge attacks, land a hit with a weapon, and successfully cast spells.
