Advanced Armors is a perk in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

It requires a Smithing skill of 50 and Elven Smithing to unlock. It is also required to access to the Glass Smithing perk.

SmithingEdit

ArmorEdit

Advanced Armors allows both heavy and light armor sets to be forged. The only other perk to grant this is the Dragon Armor perk.

The following armor sets can be forged with this perk:

• Scaled Armor
• Steel Plate Armor
• Nordic Carved Armor ^DB

It also doubles the improvement when tempering the following pieces of armor:

• Helm of Yngol
• Dawnguard Armor ^DG
• Falmer Hardened Armor ^DG
• Falmer Heavy Armor ^DG
• Morag Tong Armor ^DB
• Vampire Armor ^DG
• Vampire Royal Armor ^DG

WeaponsEdit

This perk is required to forge Nordic Weapons added in the Dragonborn add-on.
