Adventus Caesennius can usually be found at the Castle Dour in Solitude, unless the Stormcloaks win the Civil War and take Solitude, after which he will disappear, as will Captain Aldis.

The same will happen to Yrsarald Thrice-Pierced if the Legion wins the war by taking Windhelm and killing Ulfric Stormcloak.
