Ancient Nord Boots are a piece of heavy armor and part of the Ancient Nord Armor set found in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

They are a variant of Iron Boots and have similar base attributes. However, what makes them superior is that they benefit from the Daedric Smithing perk, which vastly improves their armor rating when upgraded. This makes them comparable with some of the higher tier armors.

LocationEdit

Ancient Nord Boots are relatively rare, as they cannot be obtained from defeated Draugr or crafted under normal circumstances. The following is a list of fixed locations where they can be found:

• The entire set including; armor piece, helm, boots and gauntlets can be looted from the Dragon Cultist in Forelhost during the quest "Siege on the Dragon Cult".
• North Shriekwind Bastion - above the entrance to Shriekwind Bastion.
• Forsaken Cave - just past the initial Draugr attack, in a corner shelf.

SmithingEdit

Ancient Nord Boots can only be crafted at the Skyforge, once the Companions main questline has been completed. It can be created with the following components:

• 2 × Iron Ingot
• 2 × Leather
• 3 × Leather Strips
• 4 × Steel Ingot

They can be upgraded with an Iron Ingot at a workbench and also benefit from the Daedric Smithing perk, which doubles the improvement.
