Helgi, dear, why do you hesitate? You can feel the power coursing through your blood! You have only to reach out and grasp it! Renounce that boy of yours and come, come live with me in the forest. My sister will be here soon. Together, we can form a proper coven, and your training will truly begin.
Notes
Edit
- The "Helgi" mentioned in Anise's Letter is probably not Helgi of Morthal, who died in a fire and is part of the quest Laid to Rest. This is because letter states: "Renounce that boy of yours...", and though Helgi could have a lover, she is a child when she dies, so she could not have had a son.
- Helgi is a very common Old Nordic and modern Icelandic name, which may explain why it is used more than once in TES - Skyrim. However, traditionally is has been a male name, as in the hero of the real-world Poetic Edda.
- Though, it is worth to mention that this letter is indirectly linked with Morthal. In Morthal, you have to get a copy of Song of the Alchemists, which you can find in Anise's Cabin.
