HistoryEdit

Auriel's Shield has changed hands several times over the years.

A small group of acolytes that journeyed across the province of High Rock accidently stumbled across a cave that seemed to lead to deeper, darker depths. An inscription in the entrance of the cave indicated the cave as being the resting place of a map to Auriel's Shield. Later, after the Eternal Champion, acquired the map, he recovered Auriel's Shield from a ruin in the Summerset Isles.

Then the shield entered the possession of an unknown person who asked for help from a Fighters' Guild branch somewhere in the Iliac Bay region. The Hero of Daggerfall took the quest, and after successfully completing it, he was rewarded with the shield.

The shield was later discovered to be in the possession of Drelyne Llenim, a curate in Ghostgate, Vvardenfell, Morrowind.

By the Fourth Era, it somehow ended up in the possession of a powerful Falmer in the Forgotten Vale Forest located in the province of Skyrim.
