Belethor's General Goods is a location found in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

DescriptionEdit

Belethor's General Goods is a general goods shop owned by Belethor. The store opens at 8:00AM and closes at 6 PM (Its "opening time" can vary if Belethor is out walking the streets of Whiterun, as he occasionally does).

MiscellaneousEdit

Belethor's General Goods is provided 750 Gold every 48 hours. This is either increased or decreased during this 48 hour time period depending on whether the player buys from or decides to trade with Belethor.

Belethor will buy Dragon Bones/Dragon Scales. It should be noted however that you should not sell these if you plan on focusing on smithing in the game.

You may invest with Belethor if you have the necessary Speech perk.

"Biography of the Wolf Queen" book which raises speech is on the cupboard to the left of the counter.

When you buy various items from Belethor, they will disappear from the shelves in the store. This goes for books, foodstuffs and misc items.

GlitchesEdit

• Sometimes the front entrance will be locked during normal operating hours, usually the back door can be used. If you wish to use the front door, the back door is locked, or using the back door is considered Trespassing then you need to wait an hour and try the door again, repeat until it is not locked, then enter
• Doing the above fix to the problem of the store being closed will not work if you are standing infront of the door (Where the name appears with pick lock above it), you will have to distance your self from the door when you wait and then approach it to check, and repeat if necessary. Sometimes your wait will be interuppted by a gaurd as well if you are close, things being said like "It's locked for a reason".
• Sometimes when entering Belethor's, the charecter will spawn/appear right infont of his counter.(PS3) Currently unknown if the glitch causes to to appear somewhere else in his store.
• If the above glitch happens it usually does not cause a problem, but it is possible you may spawn outside of the level, or inside a table or somewhere that causes you to get stuck.
