Benar Rethan is a Dunmer residing in Balmora. He is a member of the House Hlaalu and a co-owner of Vassir-Didanat ebony mine along with his brother, Malur Rethan.
After the Vestige discovers what happens inside the mine and brings the formula to Malur Rethan, Malur sends a Hired Assassin to dispose of his brother and Vestige.
