Berit's Ashes is an ingredient in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It can be used to make potions at an alchemy lab as part of alchemy.

  • The Dragonborn can find Berit's Ashes on top of a book shelf inside Volkihar Ruins, underneath Castle Volkihar. The item is found in the old laboratory of Valerica. If picked up, it's not a quest item but just an alchemy ingredient. It is not known why it lies there.
  • Berit's Ashes have exactly the same alchemical effects of Bone Meal. This means combining the two will yield a potion with the effects of Damage StaminaResist FireFortify Conjuration, and Ravage Stamina.
  • While Berit is male in Skyrim, "Berit" is a female name of Scandinavian, Dutch and Celtic origin, which may be translated to Intelligent, Bright. It is the equivalent of the English name Bridget.

    • You can pickpocket the ashes from Runil after the quest and then eat them or mix them into a potion at your leasure.
    • i think you could mix them with bonemeal because they both have exactly the same effects! im gonna try this out ahhaa this could be a huge alch...
