Blades Armor is a Heavy Armor set that appears in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Description
This armor is highly applicable with craftable armor sets (e.g. Ebony, Orcish, Dwarven). The chest piece falls between Orcish and Ebony Armor. The Boots are equivalent to Dwarven Boots. The gauntlets fall between Steel Gauntlets and Steel Plate Gauntlets. The Helmet and Shield are equivalent to their Dwarven counterparts.
Blades armor can be improved with steel ingots, one of the more plentiful and cheaper metals available in game. Unfortunately, it does not benefit from any Smithing perk, so it will fall behind other armors as the Dragonborn's Smithing improves.
Aesthetically, the armor is a mix between Japanese Tatami Gusoko and Roman Lorica Segmentata, a style that is consistant with previous incarnations of Blades armor.
Location
The Dragonborn can acquire Blades Armor from Sky Haven Temple in the armory section. It will also become the default armor of any follower that been have inducted into the Blades.
Be careful to remove any special or valuable armor that an inventory follower might be wearing at the time of his or her induction, as the Blades Armor will replace any armor the follower is wearing, making that armor permanently lost.

Trivia
- The Blades seem to bear heavy influences of imperial Rome and ancient-medieval East Asia which can be seen in the style of armour, weaponry, but also in historical function. Initially the Roman Praetorian Guard's sole purpose was to protect the Emperor, but was eventually dissolved after interfering with politics on their own and being perceived as a too unpredictable armed force.
Bugs
- 360 When Blades Armor is in the Dragonborn's inventory or chest, it may be marked as stolen, even though the Dragonborn didn't steal it.
