Blood of the Divines is a quest in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Martin tells the Hero of Kvatch that he has deciphered the next part of the Mysterium Xarxes. He claims that he needs the sacred blood of one of the Divines, manifest in the ancient armor of Sancre Tor in order to fulfill his mission.

He sends them to Jauffre who tells an ancient story about the Blades. Jauffre gives them the key to enter and then sends them off to Sancre Tor in western Cyrodiil.

Around Sancre Tor are many skeletons wielding swords and axes, as well as wraiths. Fight them or just head for the entrance to the ruin. When inside there are a lot of Wraiths and they will fire both Silence and Damage Attribute, and/or Damage Skill spells at the Hero. Be cautious if running through as the Damage spells will be most likely drain their strength, often making them immobile.

Follow the marker and before reaching the Entry Hall they will meet an undead skeleton. Fight him to his death and a ghost appears, it is one of the Ancient Blades trapped in here. He will ask for help to release his companions and they can help in dispelling the enchantment the evil Underking snared on them.

Entry Hall[]

Continue in to the Entry Hall, a large circular room, where across the bridge, through a door they will come up on where the armor is kept. When walking into the glowing mist a journal update will tell they have to dispel the enchantment before they can reach the armor. In order to do so they have to kill all four skeletons to release the ancient Blade Knights Ghosts so they can help.

Now there will be markers on the map so follow each to find the remaining three skeletons if they already have met and killed the first skeleton. They are glowing blue with a misty trail and will attack on sight. In each room or corridor there are Wraiths, either try and fight them or just run past them. Try to avoid the spells they cast as those will be silence spells or drain spells.

There are also a few chests in the rooms and alcoves, some are locked but most of them are not. There are some Gold and potions in them.

Once they have killed the last undead Blade, follow him back to the main shrine. There all four Blades will get on one knee and dispel the Underking's Enchantment. Once the Journal entry appears, go inside and take the armor of Tiber Septim. This is the same Imperial Dragon Armor Martin will be wearing when they close the Great Gate.

Leave the shrine and go back to Martin and give him the armor, and the quest is finished.

5 I should speak to Martin about the second item he needs for the ritual to open a portal to Mankar Camoran's realm of Paradise.
10 Martin has deciphered a second item needed for the ritual: the 'blood of a Divine'. He could not imagine a way to obtain such a thing, until Jauffre suggested a solution: the blood of Tiber Septim, who was once mortal but became a god. I should ask Jauffre how to obtain this blood.
20 Jauffre told me that the Armor of Tiber Septim, a holy relic of the Blades, is contained in a shrine in the catacombs of Sancre Tor. It is said to be splashed with Tiber Septim's blood. Jauffre warned me that the catacombs have become very dangerous, but neither he nor Martin can think of any other way to obtain the blood of a divine.
I need to go to Sancre Tor, find the Shrine of Tiber Septim and bring his ancient armor back to Martin.
30 I have found the entrance to the catacombs of Sancre Tor. I should search them for the Shrine of Tiber Septim.
40 I have found the Shrine of Tiber Septim. Its entrance is blocked by some kind of enchantment. I will have to find some way to dispel the enchantment in order to reach the Armor inside the shrine.
50 I have destroyed an undead Blade in the catacombs of Sancre Tor. His released spirit told me that he had been bound here long ago with three companions by the Underking to guard the desecrated Shrine of Tiber Septim. He promised to attempt to dispel the curse that the Underking placed on the Shrine.
I should free the spirits of the other cursed Blades of Sancre Tor, so that they can help to dispel the Underking's evil enchantment from the Shrine of Tiber Septim.
51 I have destroyed the second of the cursed Blades guarding Sancre Tor, freeing his spirit to help his companions lift the Underking's enchantment from the Shrine of Tiber Septim. I should continue to search for the other two undead Blades.
52 I have destroyed the third of the cursed Blades guarding Sancre Tor. I need to find and destroy the last of the cursed Blades, so that his freed spirit can help the ghosts of his companions dispel the evil enchantment blocking the way to the Shrine of Tiber Septim.
53 All of the cursed Blades of Sancre Tor have been destroyed. Their freed spirits have gone to the Shrine of Tiber Septim to try to dispel the enchantment laid upon it by the Underking long ago. I should go to the Shrine at once to see if they succeed in their final quest.
55 All ghost Blades are in position.
56 The enchantment from the cursed Blades is removed.
70 The ghosts of the four cursed Blades have dispelled the evil enchantment on the Shrine of Tiber Septim. The way to the Armor is now open.
80 I have the Armor of Tiber Septim. Now to take it to Martin at Cloud Ruler Temple.
90 I gave Martin the Armor of Tiber Septim. He was able to recover Tiber Septim's blood from it, which he needed for the Mysterium Xarxes ritual.
