Effect
Edit
Activating the chalice grants the effect, Blood of the Ancients. This makes the Vampiric Drain spell absorb stamina, magicka, and health for one day. The duration can be lengthened by completing Ancient Power.
Additional chalices
Edit
After killing Harkon, two additional chalices can be found in a chest. These chalices can be placed in the inventory. (Possible bug; the chest in cathedral is is noted to be empty, or containing only one chalice, after killing Harkon)
Bugs
Edit
- 360 PC Dropping the chalice causes it to float in mid-air, allowing it and the other one to be stacked strategically in order to climb to unseemly places. This is similar to the glitch involving Paint Brushes in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
- PC Once Harkon tells you to go visit Garan Marethi, he will only recognize the player as mortal and instructs player to return to Harkon to "correct" the problem immediately. Returning to Harkon does not fix the issue as he still views the player as being a Vampire Lord.
