We were fools, fools who dismissed threats no matter how immediate they seemed, fools who ignored legions of soldiers gathering underground. We were all took by surprise. The rise of Falmer released countless merciless warriors bent on one purpose- to destroy the world over the ground, and anyone who inhabits it. Or so it seemed. The Forsworn forged an alliance with the creatures, creat ing a mighty alliance.
It is the 223rd year of the 4th era, and 2 months after the crisis began. Mortal, Falkreath, Dawnstar, Solitude, Windhelm and Riften have fallen to the Falmer. And in the west, the Forsworn saw only opportunity, and invaded Markarth. However, the valiant mages of the College of Winterhold protected the city. Fort Dawnguard put up a good fight, but were eventually overwhelmed by the Falmer. The Companions correct continue to operate within Whiterun.
20 years ago, the Stormcloacks claimed victory and independence. But that independence made sure that the Imperials did not offer us any aid, and we were left to fend for ourselves.
