You can make them do their chores if you want.
WHO are your children?
I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone say Adrianne Avenicci - the blacksmith. More subtly annoying, but I am so tired of hearing her tell me that her daddy's the steward.
Adrianne: "Have you met my father? He's the steward, up at Dragonsreach." Me: "Yes, you told me that 150 times, and yes, I've met him. He needs to grow a pair."
Adrianne: "I help my father in more ways than people realize." Me: "Good for you. Can you please just buy this crap I've been lugging around?"
Adrianne: "You think all the counsel my father provides the Jarl is his alone? Hmph. Let's just say I advise the advisor, and leave it at that." Me: "Oh, that actually makes so much sense why he gives such craptastic advice."
A few odd names that might not have been mentioned yet, but here you go....
Faralda --- okay, she's useful, teaches destruction magics, sells pretty gems, etc. BUT, she's the one who "guards the bridge" to the College, yes? I put that in quotes because after she makes you cast some benign spell for admittance all she does is stand there. A dragon is attacking Winterhold and she'll do nothing. Really Faralda? You're going to just stand there while the rest of the town burns just a few feet in front of you?Â
The dragon can even be blasting HER with fire or frost and she'll just stand there, useless, all that so-called destruction prowess going to waste. Very annoying, and very useless she is, at least as a guard. Brelyna, a mere student at the college, by comparison is crazy good in a fight.Â
Vilkas & Farkas -- You've agreed to help them out on one of the biggest quests the Companions have ever faced, one which is intended to honor the memory of someone both of these morons obviously held in very high regard and respect, yet one by one when they are needed the most both of them backs out on you saying "Sorry brother, I can't go on".... not due to injury, but due to them not being able to get their heads out their butts long enough to get the job done, and leave the greiving for later.Â
I'm not sure why anyone would consider either of these idiots marriage material based on this reason alone.
Brynjolf -- No question whatsoever he should step up and be the new guildmaster. (The options for that should have been in there) I find his lack of devotion to the guild he claims he loves to be highly annoying. Couple that with his propencity to repeatedly bombard you with lines like "All eyes are on you lad/lass, don't disappoint" (early-on, every time you walk by) or "Not now lad/lass, I've important things to blah blah" (later on) (while he stands around doing nada) and you have a guy who is basically useless, thus annoying. Once you've completed the entire main quest for the Thieves Guild you can't even take the guy as a follower. "Not now Lad..." pffffft. idiot.

Oh yeah i forgot about that not just bolts its armor and weapons too and no matter how fair he say's the deal is its always much less than you had to pay for it. Forge your own he'll leave you alone then.
yea and DG is not needed i was fighting adiwin in Savengare and a faqing courier is lik HEY I NO UR KILLING A GOD BUT LOK READ DIS AND CYA NOW OK DER
- The imperial captain at Helgen. I'm not overly fond of Ulfric's band, but I got to follow Ralof just to kill her, with fire.
- Most Bra(i)t(h)s, uhm children. I'm new to Skyrim and I don't know if I ever get a bedroom and adopt one. To be fair, I expected nothing else than brats from Bethesda since Little Lamplight. They have a thing for it, definitely
- The general store owner at Falkreath (Solaf?), for his incessant threats about stealing. If you are annoyed about me mousing over the stuff on your counter, take it away.
- Delphine. So, protecting/serving the Dragonborn obviously means bossing them around to solve your personal grudges. Was very displeased that one could not turn the quest around and eff her instead of Paarthurnax. Besides, why should I give you my followers or hirelings?
- Durak. I hate auto-triggered dialogue for quests, but this guy is schmuck bait on top. He could at least mention that Vampirism is infectious AF and that you should stock up on "Cure Disease" beforehand. Acts as if his Vampire hunters are super important. (I did not meet the "Stendarrs" beforehand. Are they supposed to be important?) Does not help that his name basically means idiot in Russian.
- Average hostile Vampires. Any and all of them. They are a pest. Don't know about the Dawnguard bunch yet.
- Bryndoof. And all the rest of the TG, really. They are like, all abrasive haughty jerks, and not even remotely interesting. Bonus points that the game apparently really, really wants me to like and join them. Bonus points if it is the first ever playthrough and one picks up a Barenziah stone, not knowing that it is tied to them as well. Argh!
- Astrid. Slightly better than the TG, as you can kill her and turn the quest around, at least. They also have somewhat more character. Well, German has a nice way to twist her name into what amounts to "kick into the butt".
- Most of the Companions come across as jerks, really. My first encounter with them was their giant-slaying adventure just out of whiterun. I did not even noticed them until Aela popped up and started rambling about me not helping and them being so awesome. Dear Aela, 1) I'm not going to fight an insta-kill oaf-style foe early game, even if I'm not focused into melee. 2) I was damn busy grabbing cabbage from the farms.
I guess if my LDB would kill all jerks I encountered so far, I would be constantly busy dragging bloodstained sacks back to Reachcliff Cave. Om-nomnomnomnom!
Two minor ones:
Maven. She is made slightly more bareable for me, as in the german localisation, she's voiced by the same actress who did Merrill in Dragon Age 2, of all people Utterly hilarious.
Faralda. IF and only if she demands a spell that exceeds the default 100 magicka. Otherwise I've no issue with her.
Nazeem, he is always claiming to be so important ever though you are thane,
cicero, full stop
the talos guy in whiterun. he tells you that you are nothing and your the f*cking dragborn
So, except for Nelkir :
Delphine : Stop telling me what to do, I'm the Dragonborn so you work for me, not the opposite. Also I won't kill Paarthie unless he does something terrible because I think he's actually (cool) atoning.Â
Heimskr and Nazeem : Oh shut up, both of you.
Vex : My problem with the whole TG is the lack a lack of concrete actions on the field and a lack of dialogue update, especially when you become guild master. Vex is that one character people like (in game and IRL) and I don't get why : she's annoying, bossy, verbally attacks you while you just joined and barely said "hello", does nothing except sitting in a bar. I get that for a character like Delvin but for someone as pretentious as Vex it makes no sense. At least you can come across the Companions on the field.
Dirge : Exactly what I hate in a NPC, he's useless, menacing and has litteraly two lines.
Astrid : As I mentionned in other threads she's not the guild master of a DB branch but the chief of a group of murderers. The way the other members worship her makes me sick and she's a treacherous bitch.
Thalmor characters : Faction of attractive people with nazi tendancies.
Jarl Siddgeir, Korir and Skald the Elder : Their poor townfolk are run by incompetents. Idgrod and Baalgruuf are the best anyway.
Maven Black-Briar + family (except for Ingun)Â : A character most people hate, the main problem being that 1) she's essential and 2) if you side with the imperials she's what you get. Nice.
Braith : Why can't we kill children in Bethesda games?
Rolff Stone-Fist : Even adopted children are annoyed by this guy. Long story short, I don't think using a race as a scapegoat is going to improve your crappy life. Btw I beat this guy and he came to my wedding in the same playthrough, wtf BethesdaÂ
There's probably lot's of assholes I forget. So many people to hate in this country ...
The friggin' Imperial Captain from the opening in Helgen. Who is she, the friggin' Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland? The Captain: "Off with his/her head!" Some (unimportant) Imperial Soldier: "But captain, he/she's not on the list!" The Captain: "I SAID: "Off with his/her head!""
B*tch!
Also, while Nazeem is universally despised, I dislike Narfi ("I can't see you, Reyda! I can't find you! Why are you hiding? Hiding, hide, hide, hide! Don't make me sad!"), Belethor (Selling his sister and buying one of my relatives? What is this guy, a slaver?) and the friggin' hold guards ("I used to be an adventurer like you, but then I took..." "CURVED! SWORDS!" "..to the knee!" Shut up already! It's good that we have mods for that!)
