Main article: Imperial Cult Quests

Buckmoth Alms is an Imperial Cult quest in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. It is one of the almoner's quests the Nerevarine can accept as a member of the Imperial Cult.

BackgroundEdit

The member of the Imperial Cult and questgiver Iulus Truptor tells the Nerevarine that the Buckmoth Legion Fort has experienced an shortfall of alms for the poor. The money is urgently needed to provide the usual services for orphans and indigents. Iulus Truptor asks the Nerevarine to try and raise the needed funds of at least 100GoldIcon in Ald'ruhn, the city closest to Buckmoth Legion Fort benefiting of the cult's services. He expects the task to be rather difficult, due to the city being the district seat of House Redoran and housing mainly Dunmers, therefore member of the Tribunal Temple.

ObjectivesEdit

  • Talk to Iulus Truptor
  • Ask various Ald'ruhn's citizen for "alms for the poor" or donate the Nerevarine's own gold.
  • Talk to Iulus Truptor and deliver 100 GoldIcon or deliver 200 GoldIcon.

WalkthroughEdit

After receiving his mission the Nerevarine ought to travel to Ald'ruhn. Persuading the people in Ald'ruhn to donate can prove tricky. Speechcraft is an essential skill here. The Nerevarine needs to raise the disposition for most potential donaters considerably.

If the Nerevarine succeeds in raising 100 or even 200 GoldIcon, he must return to Ebonheart and deliver the money to Iulus Treptor. Alternatively he can donate a part or all of the gold himself, telling Iulus Treptor that he was able to raise the money in Ald'ruhn.

RewardEdit

If the Nerevarine fails to raise the money (or at least tells Iulus Treptor so), he must wait one day until he can continue with the next almoner's mission.
