Background[]
I met Nicolene in the Dead Wolf Inn in Shornhelm. She and Captain Kaleen are here looking for one of King Fahara'jad's former spies, Naruk. Naruk has turned against the Daggerfall Covenant and is now inciting war, but Kaleen is missing.

Walkthrough[]
In the Dead Wolf Inn in Shornhelm, you will run into Nicolene. Speak with her and she will tell you that Captain Kaleen has gone missing. Kaleen and her crew are currently working directly for Fahara'jad and are tracking a rogue spy named Naruk. Kaleen was going to meet a contact on the road southwest of Shornhelm.
Head southwest of Shornhelm. Once you arrive there, Crafty Lerisa will reveal herself; she was apparently Kaleen's contact. She does not know what happened to Kaleen though; she has not seen her. The only advice she can give is to talk to the town guard and ask if they saw Kaleen leaving the city. The guard at the southern gates will reveal that he saw her leave the city and come back with another redguard. He did not see anything else, so he advises you to ask around in town. Asking Nirine Geric will reveal that the two have gone up the eastern road. The beggar Lazy Ludippe can be bribed or intimidated into revealing that they're in the house behind him; head in and you will find a trap door to a hidden basement. Lerisa will open the lock for you; when she is done, head inside.
Head through the big door ahead. You will find Kaleen lying on the ground; speak with her and she will tell you that Naruk saw through her and has been trying to torture her for information. Kaleen will tell you that she has gathered that Naruk is looking to poison Shornhelm's water supply. Naruk is in the sewers beyond the fighters guild. Head outside and follow the path north, past Hammer and Saw Carpentry. Then turn right to find the entrance to the sewers. Inside, you will run into many enemies, so come prepared. Your task here is to close the cistern gates and kill Naruk while Kaleen deals with the poison. The levers to close the gates will be on both ends of the room. Naruk will be standing on the other side of the water and will attack on sight. Once these tasks have been dealt with, destroy the barrels of poison on both sides of the water.
When all of this is done, head to the Dead Wolf Inn and speak with Kaleen to finish the quest.

Nicolene said Captain Kaleen was meeting a contact named Sigil on the road leading out of Shornhelm. Sigil was supposed to give her more information about Naruk. I should start my search on the road out of Shornhelm.

I found Captain Kaleen's contact, Sigil, off the road. Kaleen is nowhere to be seen. I should see what Sigil has to say.

"Sigil," Captain Kaleen's contact, suggested I speak to the Shornhelm guards. She hopes one of them may have seen Captain Kaleen. I should start with the Gate Caaptains since they see everyone who comes and goes from the city.

Naruk is with Kaleen and was described as being angry. Kaleen may need my help. Perhaps someone else in town has seen them. I should ask around, starting with people on the streets. Maybe a beggar has seen them.

Naruk and Kaleen entered an abandoned house and did not come out. I should look around inside for any evidence that might lead me to them.

I need to prevent Naruk from completing his plan to poison Shornhelm and incite old hostilities within the Covenant. To do this, I should seal the cistern gates and destroy the barrels of poison. Then I need to kill Naruk so he can't try again.

Naruk is dead and the plot to poison Shornhelm has been dealt with. I should go to the Dead Wolf Inn and meet up with Captain Kaleen and Nicolene to make sure their aren't any loose ends.
