For other uses, see Cotton.

Cotton is a rabbit that can be kept as a pet for the Dragonborn's homestead.

If the Dragonborn has adopted a female child, the child may come home with Cotton and asks if she can keep it. If the Dragonborn allows this, Cotton will follow the child around the house and will stay in the bedroom if the child leaves the house.

Trivia

  • The child who owns Cotton never mentions its name, and its name is not shown when looking at it. It only shows after the animal has died.
  • Another way to see the animal's name is to command your follower to do a task and hover the crosshair over the animal, thus showing its name and it won't be necessary to kill it.

  • Sometimes the rabbit will "disappear" for days. It is actually trapped in the cellar and will not be able to get out again until the child goes back down there.
