Quests

After finding all 24 Stones of Barenziah for Vex as part of the quest No Stone Unturned, the Dragonborn is asked to recover the Crown of Barenziah from Tolvald's Cave.

Vex reveals that the Crown of Barenziah is actually a paragon for the Thieves Guild. Recovering the crown restores the paragon to its full state. The fully restored Crown of Barenziah then sits on the mannequin bust in The Ragged Flagon - Cistern.

Reward

Once restored, the Dragonborn receives the active power Prowler's Profit. This increases the rate in which the Dragonborn finds precious gems in any container, including Draugr bodies.

Trivia

• It is impossible to equip the crown. When facing the crown on its bust there is an "Activate" option rather than "Steal" or "Take". Activating the crown has no effect on the crown.
• While you need to collect 24 Stones of Barenziah in order to complete the crown, the crown has 25 stones on it. (There may have been a stone on it when you retrieve it or the picture is inacurate).
