- CuSith is a reference to Cù Sìth from Scottish mythology. He was a large, ghostly hound associated with death.
- Despite the spelling, if pronounced in Gaelic fashion, his name would sound like "'Coo Shee."
- CuSith can send hired thugs after the Dragonborn if they steal something from Castle Volkihar, even if he is killed during the quest "Kindred Judgment."
