Dark Welkynd Stone are alternate versions of Welkynd Stones that are designed to act as traps.

They look like dark red, double tetrahedrons, and tend to float on pillars. They cannot be picked up and can seriously hurt the Hero. Dark Welkynd Stones are found in the typical trap-infested Ayleid ruins.

VarietiesEdit

There are three varieties:

• Ones that burn with fire damage.
• Ones that freeze with frost damage.
• Ones that zap with shock damage.

The damage they give is leveled to the character, so be careful.

One suggested method of dealing with them is to use a lot of gear or magics that allow one to absorb magicka, such as the Atronach Birthsign.
