Unlocking the Data File
Edit
It is not necessary for Wrye Bash user to use this way, because they can launch Skyrim and manage mods via Wrye Bash.

Added by Cast 101It is by going to Skyrimprefs.ini file on the text editor such as "Notepad", it must have Launcher.
Some locations of SkyrimPrefs.ini are, for example:
- Windows XP default settings:
C:\Documents and Settings\player's username\My Games\Skyrim\ C:\Program Files\steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\Data\
- Windows 7 64bits default settings:
C:\Users\player's username\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\ C:\Program Files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\Data
Notice : If "Folder Option"'s preferences do not disable "Hide extensions for known file types", .ini file extension is not shown.
bEnableFileSelection=1, to SkyrimPrefs.ini, and copy-and-paste and save. There are 2 above directories needed on the SkyrimPrefs.ini of the Document directory or the directory installed Skyrim game.
If this is not working try this; Or for some players go to "Document" directory or the directory installed Skyrim game, right click the their directories, go to "Properties", go to [General] tab, "Attributes", thick the "read only" (Only applies to files in directories).
If it's not working, there are no ways left. Remember to try 2 ways.
