Appearance
The light armor comes in several different colors: A dark brown version with long sleeves and no pauldrons, automatically given to the player after A New Order, a crimson/red dust coloured set with no sleeves and no pauldrons, worn by Gunmar, and a grey version with long sleeves and one pauldron on the left shoulder, emblazoned with a grey Dawnguard logo, worn by Celann.
There are two variants of Dawnguard Armor, heavy and light, with several differences between them. The heavy helmet is made of metal and covers the entire head, with slots only for the eyes (similar to the Daedric Helmet); whereas the light helmet seems to be made of leather and metal and does not fully wrap around the head (similar to the Imperial Legion helmet from The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion). The heavy cuirass also has pauldrons on both shoulders, while the light variant has a single pauldron or none at all. The gauntlets and boots, however, are visually identical for both versions.
Enchantments
Dawnguard Armor also has some unique enchantments. When worn with a full set of Dawnguard Armor, the Dawngard Helmet grants 25% less damage from Vampire attacks, including the Drain Life spell. The Dawnguard shield gives 10 increased bashing damage against vampires. Neither of these enchantments can be disenchanted and used on other items. With the exception of the helmet and shield, Dawnguard Armor can be enchanted like all items.
Location
Dawnguard Armor can be bought from some members of the Dawnguard, namely Gunmar. Others pieces can be found scattered around Fort Dawnguard, specifically in the main sleeping area.
