Description

Required for the Alteration Ritual Spell quest, Dragon Heartscales are automatically obtained when examining a dragon's skeleton while Kahvozein's Fang is equipped in your right hand only. Dragon heartscales can not be acquired from Skeletal Dragons, nor can they be acquired from Mirmulnir during the quest Dragon Rising.

Dragon Heartscales do not appear as an item in the inventory of the dragon's body. If you are successful in harvesting the scales, a status message that they have been added to you inventory will appear. Close the dragon's inventory and then check yours. The Dragon Heartscales will appear in your inventory as a miscellaneous item.
