The Drainheart Sword is a unique ancient Nord sword found in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

AcquisitionEdit

The Drainheart Sword is one of four unique ghost weapons wielded by spectral variants of draugr. These can be encountered only in Labyrinthian during The Staff of Magnus quest.

The other three weapons are the Drainblood Battleaxe, Drainspell Bow and Ghostblade.

EnchantmentEdit

It absorbs 15 points of stamina with each hit. As with most ghost weapons, it cannot be improved at a grindstone, though it has unlimited charges and can be disenchanted to gain the Absorb Stamina enchantment.

UsefulnessEdit

While not spectacular in the damage department, the drainheart sword could find use for a spellsword character. It has the same base damage as the elven sword with a weight of only three, compared to the elven sword's weight of 13. The enchantment finds additional use here as spellswords can focus their attention on magicka and health instead of stamina while leveling up, using the limitless enchantment to replenish their stamina as it is used in battle.

BugsEdit

 PC   360   PS3  At an Arcane Enchanter, you will be able to "disenchant" this sword even if you already have the "Absorb Stamina" enchantment unlocked, thus giving you two "Absorb Stamina" enchantments in your list of available enchantments.
