"Hagraven or Horker, it matters not. We've got the arrows to fell any game."
Elrindir[src]

The Drunken Huntsman is a tavern and hunting shop in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim specializing in archery located in the Plains District of Whiterun. The owner, Elrindir, explains the store was named after an incident involving him and his brother after consuming "rather too much mead" - his brother mistook him for a deer and shot him in the rump with an arrow.

Elrindir sells a wide assortment of armor and weapons - especially bows and arrows, in addition to the tavern's usual fare of food and drink.

InteriorEdit

The large main trading room is on the ground floor and consists of a counter displaying some wares and several small tables. A large hearth is situated in the center of the room with two cooking pots hung over them. During the day, Olfrid Battle-Born can be seen nearby tending to the spit.

To the right is a small alcove where Jenassa, a Dunmer mercenary can be found sitting. She lodges at the tavern and can be hired for 500 GoldIcon. Adjacent to it is another alcove with a wardrobe and two barrels.

At the back of the room past the large keg is a small bedroom with a chest, a strongbox, and Business Ledger on top of a dresser. In addition, a shelf with several ruined books and a copy of A Dream of Sovngarde can be found. Upstairs is the small master bedroom where Nazeem and his wife Ahlam sleep. Inside is a chest, a wardrobe and two end tables containing generic clutter.

Despite being considered an inn during NPC conversations, you cannot rent a room.

Notable itemsEdit

The Archery skill book The Black Arrow, Book II is located on a shelf under the counter.

TriviaEdit

  • If you kill Anoriath during the Dark Brotherhood contract and if you take a job from Delvin Mallory whose target happens to be the Drunken Huntsman, Delvin will say that you killed an inhabitant.
