The Dwarven Bolt is a bolt found in The Elder Scrolls V: Dawnguard.
These bolts are the Ancient Dwemer variant of the steel bolt used by the Dawnguard. They are used mainly by Dwarven Spheres and can be fired by any crossbow.
In appearance, the Dwarven Bolt is distinguished from its steel counterpart by its purple fletching and golden point.
They have the same base damage as a dwarven arrow.

Acquisition
Edit
- Upon completing the fifth part of Ancient Technology (the search for the Dwarven Crossbow Schematic), the Dwarven Bolt becomes available for purchase from Sorine Jurard and Gunmar. Sorine will also teach how to smith them.
- Found on the remains of Dwarven Spheres inside Dwemer Ruins.
Smithing
Edit
The Dwarven Bolt requires the dwarven smithing perk in order to create.
Sets of 10 may be created at a forge using the following:
- 1 x Dwarven Metal Ingot
- 1 x Firewood
Like other bolts and arrows they cannot be upgraded.
Originally, they were only supposed to be able to be smithed at Gunmar's forge in Fort Dawnguard. But, as of Dragonborn, you can also smith them at the forge in Severin Manor.
