Ebonheart is a town found in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.

The town is built on several little islands, which are surrounded by walls and connected by small bridges. In addition to traders, the Imperial Chapels can be found here, as well as the Argonian Mission and the Skyrim Mission, a tavern, and a port, which offers transport by ship to various coastal towns on Vvardenfell.

The town square boasts a large statue of a dragon, the symbol of the Imperial Legion. Ebonheart is the seat of Imperial rule on the island of Vvardenfell. The regional headquarters of the East Empire Company is also located here, along with a garrison of the Imperial Legion. The Castle Ebonheart houses the Duke of Vvardenfell, Duke Vedam Dren.

The town is named after the city of Old Ebonheart on the mainland of Morrowind, across the Inner Sea. The castle is very well protected from attacks, positioned as it is on a little island.

To the northeast, close to the town the Underground Caves can be found.

In The Elder Scrolls III: Tribunal expansion, transportation to Mournhold is provided by a mage in Castle Ebonheart.

  • The name was taken from the city of Old Ebonheart, in the mainland, which appears in Elder Scrolls Online and Arena.
