Ebony armor is a thick and rare heavy armor set in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Crafted from a form of volcanic glass found in the lava flows from Vvardenfell's Red Mountain^[source?], the armor is so named because of its opaque, jet black, glossy surface. Ebony weapons exist that complement this set.

AcquisitionEdit

Upon reaching level 15, ebony armor can be found as random loot, in certain chests, or on leveled enemies that wear heavy armor.

Umbra's ArmorEdit

A variant of Ebony Armor is worn by Umbra. This set is called Umbra's Ebony Armor. The difference is that ebony armor is stronger before level 15, after which both sets have the same stats.
