Elmus' Mead is a miscellaneous quest in The Elder Scrolls V: Dragonborn in which the Dragonborn must recover a bottle of Ashfire Mead for Elmus from Thirsk Mead Hall.

Walkthrough[]

"Well, the easy answer, of course. Mead! Actually, now that I think of it, I have been missing the Ashfire. It's a special brew that we make at Thirsk."

Speak to Elmus at Bujold's Retreat and ask if there is anything that can be done to make living in exile more bearable. He replies with:

Is there anything that would make being down here more bearable? "Well, the easy answer, of course. Mead! Actually, now that I think of it, I have been missing the Ashfire. It's a special brew that we make at Thirsk. If you could... somehow... get up there and grab a bottle, I'd be a long way towards forgetting how miserable it is down here."

This will start the quest to bring Elmus a bottle of Ashfire Mead from Thirsk. Travel to the Thirsk Mead Hall. Several Rieklings live here but they are not hostile. Ashfire Mead can be located near a few mead barrels within the hall. Pick a bottle up and travel back to Bujold's Retreat.

Another way to complete this is to visit The Retching Netch in Raven Rock and see if Geldis Sadri has one for sale.

Upon returning the mead to Elmus, he will excitedly say "Oh, that's the stuff all right. You're a good friend to Thirsk, and to me. I thank you." and rewards the Dragonborn with a leveled sum of .
