Elven Gauntlets are a piece of light armor and part of the Elven Armor set found in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Locations[]
Unenchanted gauntlets will begin to appear throughout Skyrim at level 12 and enchanted variants can be found at level 13. These locations include:
- Blacksmiths and General Goods Merchants.
- Found as random loot in chests or as a world item.
- Worn by randomly encountered Thalmor patrol guards.
Fixed locations[]
- Worn by several Thalmor Warriors and archers in Northwatch Keep after level 12.
Smithing[]
Elven Gauntlets require a Smithing level of 30 and the Elven Smithing perk to create. It can be forged at a blacksmith's forge with the following components:
- 2 x Leather Strips
- 1 x Leather
- 1 x Quicksilver Ingots
- 1 x Refined Moonstone
- 1 x Iron Ingot
It can be upgraded with a Refined Moonstone at a workbench and also benefits from the Elven Smithing perk, which doubles the improvement.
Variants[]
A rare variant of this item exists, called Elven Bracers. They are indistinguishable from the standard Elven Gauntlets, as they look exactly the same and have the same armor rating and weight.
