Elven Gilded Armor is a piece of light armor and part of the Elven Armor set found in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
It is identical in appearance to Elven Armor, but has a higher armor rating. Wearing the armor does not count towards the "Matching Set" perk achieved at level 70 in the Light Armor skill tree. A regular piece of Elven Armor must be worn to get the bonus.

Locations
Edit
Unenchanted armor will begin to appear throughout Skyrim at level 27 and enchanted variants can be found at level 28. These locations include:
- Blacksmiths and General Goods Merchants.
- Found as random loot in chests or as a world item.
- Worn by randomly encountered Thalmor patrol guards.
- Sometimes worn by random encountered thieves after level 32.
Fixed locations
Edit
- Worn by several Thalmor Warriors and archers in Northwatch Keep after level 27.
Smithing
Edit
An Elven Gilded Armor requires a Smithing level of 30 and the Elven Smithing perk to create. It can be forged at a blacksmith's forge with the following components:
- 3 x Leather Strips
- 4 x Refined Moonstones
- 1 x Iron Ingot
- 1 x Quicksilver Ingot
It can be upgraded with a Quicksilver Ingot at a workbench and also benefits from the Elven Smithing perk, which doubles the improvement.
