The Essence Extractor is a device that is used to gather the blood of the Mer races.

Extracting BloodEdit

To extract blood, simply loot the corpse of a deceased person with the Essense Extractor in the inventory. Blood samples can be acquired from any dead body in Skyrim, not just those killed by the Dragonborn or their followers.

LocationEdit

Septimus Signus, found in Septimus Signus's Outpost, is known to possess one. He will give it to the Dragonborn to collect the blood of the Mer races during the quest Discerning the Transmundane.

It can be looted off Septimus' body after he is killed by Hermaeus Mora.
