Acquiring the Eyes of the Falmer
The Eyes of the Falmer, also known as The Eyes of the Snow Elves are treasures found during the Thieves Guild quest "Blindsighted". They appear to be large egg-shaped gems with a red glow, pried from eye sockets of a large Snow Elf statue in Irkngthand. The player may only acquire them after killing Mercer Frey, at the end of the quest.
You will receive two eyes, The Left Eye of the Falmer and The Right Eye of the Falmer. They are both valued at 2500 septims, however The Left Eye of the Falmer is a quest item that you can only turn to Delvin Mallory at the Thieves Guild for 1600-3200 septims. Further, quest items turned to Delvin Mallory appear on a shelf behind the Guild Master's desk in the Ragged Flaggon Cistern. The player can then Steal the eye from the guild itself to sell it to the local fence for another 1000 septims.
"Nobody thought they were real, but I've seen them.
The Eyes of the Snow Elves!
The Dwarves thought they took them from the Falmer, but they themselves were fooled. A statue, built in secrecy by the slaves, the eyes burn into you, and I see them even now. S'raffa escaped through the collapsing tunnel, but he'll never escape what we've seen. Men will never believe him, and he'll be driven mad by the knowledge that he'll never see them again. But I may yet see them again before I die."
- It is possible that the Left Eye of the Falmer will not spawn, but the quest will continue as normal, the only downside being that you miss out on the reward.
- The Left Eye of the Falmer may not have any message upon acquiring it stating to take it to Delvin like previous items, it will cause it to not be sellable to Delvin thus making it impossible to complete the side quest.
- If you sell the Right Eye of the Falmer and the Left Eye of the Falmer to Ahkari in Dawnstar, then do the Easter Egg glitch, both of the eyes will respawn in the invisible chest. You can do it as many times as you want and keep selling them back.
