A Brush with Death is a quest available in The Elder Scrolls Online. The Vestige found a journal within Mines of Khuras. It contained a message addressed to Odette Vinielle.

Walkthrough[]
While exploring the Mines of Khuras, the Vestige finds a journal, Guifford Vinielle's Scetchbook, with a message. The message reads as follows:
This journal contains a variety of sketches, many of them annotated, showing Bloodthorn rituals and Red Rook Bandits. There's also a folded message stuck between the cover and the first page of the book
The folded message is:
"Odette
If you're reading this, I hope I'm not dead. The Bloodthorn attacked the mines and caught me off guard. I'm working on an escape plan. Hopefully, I'll catch up with you soon. Stay safe at Glenumbra Moors.
Your brother,
Guifford Vinielle"
This should be delivered to Odette. Head to the Glenumbra Moors to find Odette. She is surprised and happy. It seems her brother did escape, but one of Faolchu's werewolves attacked him. He is resting but will be happy to see his journal again as they thought it was gone.
