Walkthrough[]
In Valeguard's caverns, you will find a man named Farandor. He will tell you that he is trying to make his stories permanent using a piece of parchment he bought, but it is not working. So instead, he will ask you to get the materials for an ancient rite to make the tale write itself. These materials are the blood of Hoarvors and the flesh of the first mammoth to roam Valenwood, who is preserved further into the caverns. Head on through the caverns into the Wilds of the Heart; the mammoth named Old Tusk will be lying by the entrance, and hoarvors roam the area. Collect the mammoth's flesh and five batches of hoarvor blood, then head outside and talk to Farandor.
Farandor will ask you to head north into the old tree trunk and splash the blood onto the animal skins there. This will cause the words to latch onto the mammoth flesh; bring the flesh to the fire pit in the center of town to sear the words into the flesh, and it will turn into a book. This book must be brought to Shandi by the Handfast so that she can sing the story. This will finish the quest.
