Archer's Gambit is an action card in The Elder Scrolls: Legends that is a part of the Heroes of Skyrim expansion.
Acquisition[]
- Archer's Gambit can be soul summoned with 100 soul gems.
- Archer's Gambit can be purchased as part of the Paarthurnax's Roar deck.
Strategy[]
Archer's Gambit will move a creature to the opposite lane. This can be used to send a creature to attack an enemy that would not be viable for other to attack, place a creature with Guard in the opposite lane to prevent other creatures in that lane or the summoner themselves from being attacked, or avoid a creature in their current lane thereby allowing them to bypass a Guard or avoid a lethal attack. Additionally, enemy creatures may also be moved. Moving an enemy creature to the other lane may make it vulnerable to attacks by a stronger friendly creature or away from a Guard in its original lane, prevent it from attacking another friendly creature or the player directly if there is a friendly Guard in the lane it is moving to, or allow creatures in its original lane or the enemy summoner themselves to be attacked if the creature moving is a Guard.
Archer's Gambit also deals 1 point of damage to the enemy creature with the greatest power. This can serve to defeat creatures with 1 health or make other creatures easier to defeat. The card Finish Off can pair with cards that deal small amounts of damage against strong creatures as it will kill any creature that is wounded. Thus, a creature that has been damaged with Archer's Gambit can be instantly killed, regardless of its remaining health.
