Walkthrough[]
At the entrance to Treehenge, you will run into the spirit of Finoriell, the former Green Lady. She will tell you that after her death on the shores of Pyandonea, her spirit came here to rest, but something is preventing her from taking her rightful place. She will direct you to speak with the Hedgekeeper, who might know more.
Head into the roots and you will find Hengekeeper Lara lying on the ground; speak with her and she will tell you that the Worm Cult has invaded this place. Ever since, the Spriggans have been restless and will not let anyone through. Lara will tell you that in order to fight off the worm cult, you must awaken the Matrons by disturbing the roots of Treehenge.
Head deeper inside. The roots will have a pillar of green ligh coming from them. The first one is just ahead, then the second one is across the bridge. The third one is deeper into the dungeon, in the room with the puddle on the floor. Once all roots have been disturbed and all matrons have been awakened, proceed through the north exit in to Treehenge proper. There, you will find Finoriell's spirit as well as the three matrons you awakened. You should speak with one of the matrons and she will tell you that the Worm Cult is poisoning this place and using it for their foul plans.
The moment you are done talking, the spirit of Finoriell will be pulled away by the Worm Cult. Speak with Hengekeeper Lara and she will tell you of a possible way to draw Finoriell's spirit back. You are to collect Moon-Kissed Droplets and Starry Torchbugs from arounf the area; both can be collected to your northeast. The droplets can be found in the water and will give off a blue light. The torchbugs are just shinier torchbugs. Once you have five of the torchbugs and three of the droplets, head back southwest to an altar just northeast of the map marker. There, use the ingredients you found to cleanse the altar and it will draw in Finoriell's Soul. Finoriell will tell you that the Worm Cult are seeking to corrupt her, and through her all the other Green Ladies. To prevent this, she needs to take root in a seed as quickly as possible. For the time being tough, she will take root in Hengekeeper Lara.
Head back to the grove and talk to Lara to finish the quest and start the next one, "The Dark Night of the Soul."
