The Elven Bow is an Archery weapon found in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Locations[]
Unenchanted Elven Bows will begin to appear throughout Skyrim at level 19 and enchanted bows can be found at level 20. These locations include:
- Blacksmiths and general goods merchants.
- Wielded by various characters or enemies.
- Found as random loot in chests or as a world item throughout Skyrim.
Fixed locations[]
- Northwatch Archers carry this weapon when at levels 20+.
- One can be found in Aela's room, a locked (Expert) display case, inside the Living Quarters of Jorrvaskr. Sometimes there is a bug where you can pick up the bow without opening the case by hovering the cursor around the right side of the case (worked on PC, 360, and Switch).
- Carried by Redoran guards in Dragonborn.
- Can be looted from the dead Redoran guards outside Ashfallow Citadel during the quest "Served Cold."
Variants[]
- Firiniel's End - A unique Elven bow that can be obtained on the balcony of Castle Dour in Solitude during Bound Until Death.
Smithing[]
An Elven Bow requires a Smithing level of 30 and the Elven Smithing perk to create. It can be forged at a blacksmith's forge with the following components:
- 1 x Quicksilver Ingot
- 2 x Refined Moonstone
It can be upgraded with a Refined Moonstone ingot at a grindstone. The Elven Smithing perk doubles the improvement.
Trivia[]
- The Elven Bow is the only elven weapon not to require an iron ingot to create.
