According to Ohtandilwe, Esaranir was originally from Cloudrest; he moved with his parents, Ohtandilwe and Fain, to Dawnbreak when Fain moved here. Recently, he had only just made it back from a hunting trip to Shattered Grove, after "Daedric activity occurred there."
