Frostfire Cave is a small cave in northern Cyrodiil, southeast of Bruma in The Great Forest. It is populated with several leveled beasts.

The cave plays a major role in the quest "Tears of the Savior" and there is nothing else of interest to loot as there are no chests anywhere in the cave.

Quests[]

Tears of the Savior[]

A Khajiit named S'drassa asks the Hero of Kvatch to find Garridan's Tears. S'drassa enjoys collecting crystals, especially those of a magical nature, and is willing to pay a handsome amount of gold for each Tear recovered. Speak to him about the Tears.

S'drassa describes a bit about Garridan's Tears. Apparently, they're literally tears of a knight named Garridan who was killed and frozen while battling a Frost Atronach ages ago. To find where they may be located, he suggests speaking to Julienne Fanis at the Arcane University in the Imperial City.

Trivia[]

  • The glade exists inside a forested bowl with high walls that can be scaled with high enough acrobatics and some patience. Doing so shows that this area is not connected to the rest of the map of Cyrodiil. Instead, the bowl sits on a large mesa, below which are square landscape tiles and then endless ocean. It is not possible to walk back from here to the cave entrance without going back into the bowl and through the door from the rear of the cave, nor is it possible to fast travel out of the glade. It is also not possible to reach the glade by going northeast of the cave entrance and following the route of the cave aboveground.

  3. Be descriptive when listing the bug and fixes, but avoid having conversations in the description and/or using first-person anecdotes: such discussions belong on the appropriate forum board.
  • Occasionally, when inside the glade, entering and exiting the damaging area of the glade may cause the player to be entirely unaffected by the frost damage. Especially exiting the area, waiting, and then entering again will often negate the frost damage for a lengthy or indefinite time span. It simply will not cast on the player.confirmation needed
