Haenelisse is a deceased Altmer researcher whose body is found in Coldperch Cavern. She is the author of Birds of Wrothgar.
Background[]
Haenelisse was the Vice-Chairman of the Bird-Watchers Society of Alinor, based in the Summerset Isles. She arrived in Wrothgar a number of weeks prior to the 3rd of Frostfall in 2E 582, hoping to discover new species of birds in the region.[1]
After months of research, she concluded that there was nothing worth recording in the area, and made plans to return home. On the 19th of Rain's Hand in 2E 583 however, she heard chirping from Coldperch Cavern and decided to investigate, discovering a large variety of new birds, and decided to stay and record the species.[1]
Given that the cave is presently inhabited by dangerous Hagravens, Harpies, and Winterborn, it is likely that she was killed by them, or succumbed to the cold temperature of the cave. Her field journal titled "Birds of Wrothgar" lays beside her body, and is somehow widely published, having been found in bookshelves all around the region.
