- This letter proves that Olfina Gray-Mane and Jon Battle-Born are secretly seeing each other. It can be used in the quest "Missing in Action," after Avulstein asks you to procure evidence of Thorald's whereabouts. A dialogue option opens up, making it possible to blackmail Jon into helping you.
- This note explains the relationship between Olfina Gray-Mane and Jon Battle-Born and the bitter rivalry between their families, which may be a reference to William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, in which the two main characters, Romeo and Juliet, who are from different families, secretly fall in love with each other as their own families, Montague and Capulet, feud bitterly against each other.
