"She was a good woman, and Melus loved her as best he could. He was off fighting when she died. A sudden fever, and she was gone."
―Gossip in Brindle Home[src]

Vena Petilius is the deceased spouse of Melus Petilius. Melus was deeply in love with her and did whatever he had to keep her happy. While he was out hunting, Vena was struck with an illness that quickly killed her. Melus never forgave himself for being away when she died, and took an oath to never raise a weapon again.

Her memorial resides about 100 feet southeast of Melus Petillus' House, and about 500 ft. southwest of Brindle Home. Her husband visits the site at about 11:00 a.m. every day.

Conversations[]

In Brindle home, villagers have the following to say about Vena.

"She was a good woman, and Melus loved her as best he could. He was off fighting when she died. A sudden fever, and she was gone. Don't think he ever forgave himself for not being there when she passed. He swore then never to raise a weapon again. He lives alone now. Moved into a cabin not far outside of town. It's near where he buried Vena. I understand he visits her grave every day."
