The Nord Hero Bow is an improved Ancient Nord Bow found in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Physical appearance

It is visually similar to the Ancient Nord Bow, but is more polished in appearance. It also has higher base damage, lower weight, and is of greater value.

Smithing

Like all other Nord Hero Weapons, the Nord Hero bow can only be crafted at the Skyforge after completing the Companions questline. It requires the following components:

• 1 x Ancient Nord Bow
• 3 x Steel Ingots

It can be upgraded at a grindstone with a Steel Ingot.

•  PC   360   PS3   Prior to patch 1.9, this weapon cannot be improved at a grindstone. This is because the bow's temper recipe is assigned to the Nord Hero Battle Axe.
  • This can only be fixed on the PC with the Creation Kit. Open it, then enter TemperWeaponSkyforgeBow in the filter, and select ALL in the dropdown menu. Then open up the TemperWeaponSkyforgeBow and select the NordHeroBow in the Created Object column. Then save the esp file and select it in the startup menu before starting the game.
