Background[]
Root Sunder was a city built by the Ayleids in an attempt to tame the jungle and make it suitable for their needs. They initially fought against the forest, but eventually they managed to trap a forest spirit in their city, forcing the spirit to expand the city. The spirit went mad however, and ended up killing all the Ayleids in the city.[1]
