Long Live the King[]

After receiving King Kurog's favorite ale from Roxanne, she asks for you to give her an invitation to his funeral. She will later be at the Castle Overlook during the ceremony, and afterwards in Scarp Keep.

Dialogue[]

Long Live the King

"No sad faces. Not in here. This was Kurog's happy place, and that's how it's going to stay! To Kurog! To Orsinium! May the city always remember the kind and gentle king who cared for his people. Everything else... that was his mother's fault."

I need a bottle of Kurog's favorite ale. For his funeral. "A funeral? No one tells me anything. I came to this wretched land because of Kurog. He set me up with this tavern and I'll always be grateful to him for that. You want the ale? Let's make a deal."
What kind of deal? "I'll give you a bottle of Kurog's favorite ale. I'll give you a whole damn barrel of the stuff! But only if you let me attend his funeral. I want to honor him. Say goodbye. Let me do that and I'll make sure you have plenty of the ale he loved."
Consider it done. "Thank you. I'll have the ale delivered to the keep. And I'll see you at the funeral. It'll be one last party for the king."

If spoken to again:

"Kurog's favorite ale will be at the keep on time. Don't worry about that."

At Kurog's funeral:

"I can't believe Kurog's actually dead. He was just at the tavern yesterday, eating and drinking. Carrying on like he didn't have a care in the world. I miss the big horker already."

After Kurog's funeral:

"I wonder if Bazrag has any interest in a cornerclub. We wouldn't even need to change the name or anything."

In the main hall:

"Thank you for allowing me to attend the funeral. It was good to get to say goodbye to Kurog in my own way. Bazrag said I could keep the cornerclub open. Even retain the current name. I just hope the new king stops in for drink [sic] [Do not change this to a drink. This misspelled word is how it appears in-game.] every once in a while."

Quotes[]

  • "Oh, and try some of Yakhu's stew. It will put hair on your chest, guaranteed!"
  • "I originally named this place "The Far From Home Inn." But as soon as the king became a regular, I decided to rename my humble tavern in his honor. After all, he is my best customer!"
