Description[]

Geography[]

Seyda Neen is located on the southwestern coast of Vvardenfell. Seyda Neen is built on a couple small islands and as a result, the town is made into a port under the protection of the Imperial Legion. The town square is a dirt path with surrounding houses and the Census and Excise Office to the east. Next to the office is the singular port. Behind some houses are some shacks for poorer citizens. To the south of the square is the Grand Pharos Lighthouse that sends ships to Seyda Neen.

History[]

Second Era[]

Main article: Seyda Neen (Online)

Seyda Neen was built by the Gold Coast Trading Company during the Alliance War in a deal with House Hlaalu around 2E 582.[1][UL 1] Vivec had sent a group of adventurers to an Ancestral Tomb to clear out horrid creatures. But when things went wrong, one of the adventurers fled to Seyda Neen. The Vestige met up with them at Seyda Neen and is sent to the tomb to finish the job.[2] Slavers began to operate out of the town around the time the Vestige arrived, and the lighthouse was mysteriously shutdown, by the order of the Deputy Governor. The Vestige investigated the slavery, and eventually raided Firemoth, and cleared them out. It turned out Governor Omellian was promoting slavery, and was in league with the group.

Third Era[]

Main article: Seyda Neen (Morrowind)

In 3E 427, the Nerevarine arrived to Vvardenfell and Seyda Neen by order of Emperor Uriel Septim VII himself. After registering at the Census and Excise Office, they ventured to the city of Balmora to report to Caius Cosades. Sometime later, the Nerevarine took a boat from Seyda Neen to Fort Firemoth on the Firemoth isles to recover a shield.

An expedition by Rolard Nordssen with assistance of his interpreter Tuen Panai and the Imperial garrison set out from here for their voyage to the Ruins of Kemel-Ze.[3]

Fourth Era[]

Seyda Neen, along with other major settlements in Vvardenfell were destroyed when Red Mountain erupted. Sometime later, a House Redoran councilman started a relief effort to reestablish any destroyed settlements.[4]
